About Sluggo

Sluggo is our latest foster dog -- a nine-month-old English bulldog puppy that was brought to the Jacksonville, Arkansas animal shelter.

They said his mother rolled over on him when he was very young and broke his front legs, and they never got him medical attention.

Who knows what really happened, but now Sluggo gets around, but gets really tired fast. He seems happy and not in pain, but as he ages, and gets much heavier, will turn into a problem.

On Monday, Aug. 25, he will be examined by the top orthopedic vet in the state and then we'll find out if he's fixable or not, and at what cost.

We're not sure yet even what the exam and x-ray fees will be, but if you can help, please make a tax-deductible donation to:

We hope his prognosis is good, and a new owner will certainly have a tough road with his rehab.

We're keeping our fingers crossed.
